This Rainbow Grilled Cheese is a fun and colorful lunch or snack that your grandkids will love. Plus, it’s easy to customize with your favorite cheese and bread, so you can make it your own!
Ingredients:
- Bread (white or wheat)
- Shredded cheese (cheddar or a mix of your choice)
- Food coloring (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple)
- Butter
Instructions:
- Divide the shredded cheese into six small bowls.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and stir until the cheese is evenly colored.
- Toast the bread in a toaster or on a griddle.
- Sprinkle the colored cheese onto one slice of bread in a rainbow pattern (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple).
- Place the other slice of bread on top and spread a thin layer of butter on the outside of each slice.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and place the sandwich in the pan.
- Cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown, flipping once to cook both sides.
- Cut the sandwich into triangles and serve.
